This underwater museum is a decommissioned minesweeper, INS Cuddalore. The Indian Navy, in association with the National Institute of Ocean Technology, National Center for Coastal Research, NGO Pondikan and the Central Government converted the minesweeper into an underwater museum. Till now people only like to see Titanic, but now people are equally curious about this underwater museum. Let us tell you that INS Cuddalore remained in service for almost three decades. INS Cuddalore covered a distance of about 30,000 nautical miles during its tenure. It is about 60 meters long and 12 meters wide structure.

This underwater museum is built in the seabed at a depth of 26 meters, about 7 km off the coast of Puducherry. To prepare this museum, the doors of INS Cuddalore have been removed. So that sea creatures can go inside the ship very easily. Also, if you want to see this museum then you can dive into the water. You can also go swimming with sea creatures. However, to ensure that there is no problem while swimming, there is a provision for providing necessary equipment.
