Independence Day 2023: India is celebrating the completion of 76 years of its independence. Every year on 15th August, the festival of Independence Day is celebrated with enthusiasm. Meerut
The first revolution for the independence of the country took place in 1857. This rebellion started in Meerut on 10th May. In Meerut, on the evening of May 10, the church bell rang, and people came out of their houses and gathered in Sadar Bazar, shouting slogans against British rule. For independence, the bugle was first sounded from here, whose sound reached Delhi in no time.

Jhansi
Rani Laxmibai's name has been written in golden letters in history. Whenever there is mention of the most courageous, fearless, and revolutionary women in history, the name of Rani Lakshmibai of Jhansi will be taken first. It was Laxmibai who led the 1857 revolution from Jhansi. At the age of 22, Rani Lakshmibai attained Veergati while fighting the British. His martyrdom encouraged every woman and man of the country to fight fearlessly in the freedom struggle.

Lucknow
The Revolt of 1857 was commanded by Begum Hazrat Mahal, the first wife of Nawab Wajid Ali Shah of Awadh in Lucknow. He rebelled against the British. Even after the defeat, she kept burning the fire of revolution in the rural areas. On March 21, 1858, the British captured Lucknow. Even today, the blood splatters of Indian soldiers can be seen in the Residency here.

Gorakhpur
On 5 February 1922, Indian revolutionaries set fire to a British police post near Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh, in which 22 policemen were burnt to death. The Chauri-Chaura incident was one of the biggest rebellions of the war of Independence, which horrified the British rule. However, due to the Chauri-Chaura incident, Mahatma Gandhi had withdrawn from the non-cooperation movement.

Prayagraj
Chandrashekhar Azad is also one of the brave sons who fought for freedom, and whose heroic story is known to the whole of India. On the occasion of August 15, Chandrashekhar can go to Allahabad to bow down to Azad. Here Alfred Park sings the heroic story of Shaheed Chandrashekhar Azad.
