An Aadhaar card is such a document, which is required for almost every work in today's time. An Aadhaar card is needed for things like getting a SIM card, opening a bank account, taking a loan, getting a ration card made, withdrawing PF money, etc. The Aadhaar card issued by the Unique Identification Authority of India i.e. UIDAI contains the biographical and demographic information of the cardholder. One of these is the date of birth, which often gets printed wrongly on the Aadhaar card of many people. In such a situation, it becomes necessary to know whether you can get your wrongly printed date of birth corrected or not. So let's know about this. You can learn about it in the next slides...
If the date of birth is wrongly printed on your Aadhaar card, then it becomes important for you to know that there is a UIDAI rule for this. According to this, if you want to change the date of birth printed on your Aadhaar card and the actual date of birth, then there should be a difference of less than three years.
These documents are required to change the date of birth:-
If a different date of birth is wrongly printed on your Aadhaar card, then you will need some documents to get it corrected. PAN card if you want. One can take the help of a Birth Certificate, Passport, Bank Passbook, Certificate issued by the University, and Transgender ID.
Apart from this, if you do not have the documents mentioned above, then you have more options. In these, you can use any certificate issued by a gazetted officer, school transfer certificate, medical claim certificate, visa documents, and pension papers.
You can get the date of birth corrected like this:-
First of all, visit your nearest Aadhaar Seva Kendra
Go here and fill out the correction form and give information to correct the date of birth.
Also, attach a copy of the relevant document and show it to the original officer.
Then submit the form, after which your work is done.
