The Indian Meteorological Department said on Friday that a low pressure area in the south-eastern and adjoining south-western Arabian Sea has turned into a pressure area, raising the possibility of a cyclonic storm on the morning of October 21. This will be the second cyclonic storm in the Arabian Sea this year. Its name will be 'Tej' according to the formula for naming cyclonic storms in the Indian Indian Ocean region.
Fear of turning into a cyclonic storm
According to the Meteorological Department, this cyclonic storm may turn into a severe cyclonic storm by Sunday and may hit the coast of Oman and Yemen in the south. However, the Meteorological Department has expressed apprehension that the storm may also change its path like the previous cyclonic storm Biparjoy. Let us tell you that Biparjoy storm was to move in the north-west direction in the Arabian Sea but it changed its direction and hit the coast of Mandvi in Gujarat and Karachi in Pakistan. So far, indications are that the cyclonic storm will hit the coast of Yemen-Oman only.
However, the global weather forecast says that this storm is in the Arabian Sea and there is a possibility of it changing its path to the coast of Pakistan and Gujarat. In this cyclonic storm, winds can blow at a speed of 62-88 kilometers per hour.
