Knead the dough properly
If you want to make a perfect roti, then it is very important to knead the maize flour properly. For this, add water slowly while kneading the corn flour. The dough should not be too hard or too soft. Let us tell you that adding a little warm water to the flour makes the roti dough knead perfectly.
Mix wheat flour
Most people's corn roti breaks while making it. If this problem comes with you too, then while kneading the corn flour, add some wheat flour to it. This helps in binding the dough. When the dough is kneaded properly, the roti becomes very soft and does not break.
Roll it properly
The method of rolling the corn roti should be correct. Instead of rolling it directly with a rolling pin, first pat it with the palms and give it a shape. Trying to roll it directly with a rolling pin can break it. If you have to roll it with a rolling pin, then roll it by placing it between a plastic sheet or butter paper. Do not apply force on it at all while rolling.
The pan should be hot
If the roti is rolled out perfectly, then it is important to bake it properly. For this, the pan on which the roti is cooked should not be too hot or cold. To bake corn roti, heat the pan on medium flame and cook the roti on low flame so that it is cooked well and does not break.
Use ghee
After rolling the roti, apply a little oil or ghee on the pan. This helps in preventing the roti from breaking and keeping it soft. If you put corn roti on a dry pan, it will stick and break. By adopting these tips, you can easily make perfect corn rotis.
