When the summer season comes, not only your health or skin, but hair also needs extra care. Actually, in this season, like the skin, there is excess sebum production from the scalp as well. Due to this, the scalp becomes oily and due to this the hair also looks greasy and oily. To overcome this problem, we often start washing our hair every day. However, this tends to make the problem worse rather than better.
It would be better if you adopt some easy and homely method. For example, you can prepare hair spray for your oily scalp at home. As such, hair spray is usually used to give texture to the hair. But if you make and use these homemade hair sprays, then you will get rid of the excess oil present on the scalp to a great extent. So let's know how to make these hair sprays-
Make hair spray with witch hazel and aloe vera gel
In the summer days, where aloe vera gel will cool your scalp as well as provide relief from the problem of itching. Meanwhile, the astringent properties of witch hazel will help reduce oiliness.
Necessary Ingredients-
- 1 cup distilled water
- 2 teaspoons witch hazel
- 2 tbsp aloe vera gel
- 4-5 drops of tea tree essential oil
Method to prepare and apply
- First, mix distilled water and witch hazel in a spray bottle.
- Now extract the fresh gel by breaking the aloe vera leaf and add it to the mixture and mix it well.
- Finally, add a few drops of tea tree essential oil to it. This will help in dealing with itchiness, dandruff or irritation in the scalp.
- Now close the spray bottle and shake it well.
- Now spray the prepared hair on your scalp. It can be used on dry or wet hair.
Make hair spray with witch hazel and apple cider vinegar
A great hair spray can also be prepared by mixing witch hazel and apple cider vinegar. Apple cider vinegar balances the pH and controls oil.
Necessary Ingredients-
- 1 cup distilled water
- 1 tbsp witch hazel
- 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 4-5 drops of tea tree essential oil
- 4-5 drops of peppermint essential oil
Method to prepare and use-
- First, mix distilled water, witch hazel and apple cider vinegar in a bowl.
- Now mix drops of essential tea tree oil and peppermint essential oil.
- Now pour this mixture into a small spray bottle and shake it well.
- Your hair spray is ready. Be sure to shake the spray bottle well before each use.
- Spray this mixture directly on your scalp and massage it gently into the scalp with the help of your fingers.
- Hair spray doesn't need to be rinsed out. You can use it on freshly washed or dry hair.
Note- Keep in mind that different ingredients may react differently on your scalp. Hence, do a patch test once before applying it to the scalp.
