Everyone is asked to eat light and healthy food at night i.e. dinner. In such a situation, Moong Dal Khichdi is a very good option. Can make it easily. Consuming it makes one feel lighter. The digestive system remains fine. It can be served with ghee or curd. To make it, rice, moong dal, salt, and some other spices are required. Spices enhance the taste of Khichdi. Khichdi is rich in fiber, vitamin C, magnesium, potassium, calcium, and phosphorus. Khichdi is a win-win deal in every way.

Ingredients
1 cup moong dal
4 to 5 cups water
2 large tomatoes
2 green chillies
half teaspoon asafoetida
3 tbsp ghee
1 cup rice
2 large onions
2 teaspoon cumin
a little ginger
half teaspoon turmeric
salt as required

Recipe
To make this khichdi, first, wash moong dal and rice and soak them in water. Keep it soaked for about 30 to 40 minutes.
Now keep the pressure cooker on medium flame. Add ghee to it. Add some cumin and asafoetida to it.
- After this add chopped onions. Fry them for some time.
- After this add chopped tomatoes and chillies.
- Add grated ginger to it. Fry it for some time.
- After this add rice and moong dal. Add salt, turmeric, and water to it.
Now cover the cooker. Let it whistle for about 2 to 3 whistles. After the whistle, turn off the gas.
- Now open the lid of the cooker. Take out the khichdi on a plate.
Garnish it with ghee and green coriander. After this serve hot. Lemon juice can also be added to it.
