We often ignore low BP i.e. hypotension, but low BP is no less dangerous. It is very important to recognize the symptoms of low BP in time and make some changes in lifestyle to manage it. Often the symptoms of low BP do not appear quickly, due to which it is difficult to identify in the beginning. The BP level in healthy adults should be at or around 120/80 mmHg. If your BP is less than 90/60 mmHg then it is considered low BP. In medical terms, it is called hypotension. There can be many reasons for low BP.

It is sometimes very difficult to find out the causes of low BP. Due to this, there is a problem in catching it in the initial stage. These are some reasons why BP may become low.

If your BP starts remaining below the normal level for a long time, then you need to be alert. Low BP is as dangerous as high BP. When BP is low, blood does not reach the body parts properly. In such a situation, heart attack, stroke, and many other serious problems can occur.

Problems caused by low BP
When blood pressure is low, the blood supply to the lungs, brain, and kidneys is not possible. Due to this, all the body parts are not able to function properly. Low blood pressure can also cause heart attack, anemia, blood infection, dehydration, thyroid, stress, and brain stroke.

Ways to control low blood pressure
Pranayama-Kapalbhati

To do Kapalbhati, first of all, sit in Sukhasana on the yoga mat and keep your spine straight. Now place both palms on their knees towards the sky and take a long deep breath. Now while exhaling, pull the stomach inwards. You can do this pranayama as per your capacity. Its regular practice will help in controlling blood pressure.
