Why is urine yellow? :This question must have come to your mind many times that why urine is yellow? You may have tried to find the answer to this. Search it in any book, search it on the internet. Hardly you have been able to get that answer which has satisfied your curiosity. How to even get it? Scientists themselves have been searching for the answer to this question for a long time. Finally now he has got the answer to this question. For a long time, researchers were engaged in solving this puzzle, but now a new study claims to have solved this mystery.
Water is also a reason
Actually, there are many reasons behind yellow color of urine. Of which drinking less water is a major reason. But this answer is correct from the point of view of a doctor and a patient. In this article we will know why urine is yellow in color? Maryland University's Assistant Professor Bratley Hall and his team have found out in a study why the color of urine is yellow. This study has been published in the world famous website Nature Microbiology.
Urine contains waste along with water.
In this study it has been told that human urine contains a lot of water along with waste filtered from kidneys and blood. This waste is especially dead red cells (red blood cells). These cells work to deliver oxygen to the blood through hemoglobin. These red cells have a life of 6 months. When red cells die, they produce a substance called heme. This heme initiates events that cause urine to turn yellow. But researchers already knew these things.
Science of yellow urine:
Scientists have found that the biggest reason for yellow color of urine is bilirubin reductase. This is an enzyme which is responsible for the metabolism of bilirubin. It is a yellow pigment that breaks down heme from red blood cells. When blood cells complete six months of life, they turn dark orange. It is called bilirubin. Some chemical reactions take place in the stomach that convert bilirubin into urobilan molecules. This molecule becomes yellow in presence of oxygen.
People involved in research say that studying stomach microorganisms is a very difficult task. That's why it's taken so long to figure it out.
