Push-ups prevent heart attack: In the modern run-of-the-mill life, people have started having an extreme lack of time. Because of this, their lifestyle starts to become sedentary. They do not get time for walking or physical activities. On the other hand, various types of unhealthy food have increased the diseases related to lifestyle. Among these, obesity, type 2 diabetes, and heart-related diseases have started happening the most. There has been a rapid increase in cases of heart attack and stroke. Although many such cases have been seen in which people of 25 to 30 years have also got heart attacks. But according to experts, after 40 years the risk of heart-related diseases increases.

Exercise is very beneficial for our overall health, but which exercise is more beneficial to avoid a heart attack? In a study by the Harvard School of Medicine, it was claimed that people who do push-ups regularly have the risk of many diseases reduced. These mainly included fatal complications like heart attack, cardiac arrest, and stroke.

This thing came out in the study

In this study published in Jama Network, the benefits of push-ups were analyzed. In this, attention was also paid to the time and frequency of pushing. The people of the fire brigade were included in the study. The study found that a person who did 40 push-ups within 30 seconds had a negligible risk of heart attack, heart failure, and other cardiovascular complications for the next 10 years. On the other hand, the person who was able to do push-ups less than 10 times within 30 seconds was found to have a higher risk of heart attack.

Push-ups increase the endurance of the heart

The Indian Express has spoken to Dr. Vishal Rastogi, director of interventional cardiology at Fortis Escort Heart Hospital, in detail on this research. He said, “Push-ups are such an exercise whose pressure falls on almost all the muscles of the body. This brings flexibility to the body and the nerves become free. Wherein the function of the muscles is better. This is such an exercise which can be done easily at home as well. Push-ups bring strength to the body parts. If seen in this way, there are many benefits of push-ups. Dr. Vishal Rastogi told that while doing push-ups, there is movement in many muscles of the arms, chest, hips, and legs. If it is done moderately, then it strengthens the health of the heart. If push-ups are done daily, it increases the tolerance of pressure on the heart. This increases the heart's ability to withstand any stressful situation. This can make blood pressure normal.

It is necessary to do TMT test before push-ups

Dr. Vishal Rastogi told that push-ups are definitely a great exercise for the heart, but if you are 40 years old, then it is necessary to assess the potential of the body. That is, it is necessary to check whether your heart can bear the pressure of push-ups or not. For this, it is necessary to get the TMT test done. He said that if a person is 40 years old, then his heart rate should not be more than 180 at the time of exercise. If there is more, then there may be a risk of a sudden heart attack. That's why it would be better to meet the doctor once and get the necessary tests done.
