How To Increase Blood Platelets: The monsoon has brought relief from the scorching heat all over India, but with this, the risk of dengue has increased a lot, because mosquito larvae grow rapidly in this season. Every year many people die due to dengue fever. In this disease, the blood platelet count drops rapidly. If you also have this problem, then the juice of some plants can prove to be a source of relief.

How does dengue spread?

Dengue is an infectious disease spread by the bite of the Aedes Aegypti mosquito. Since its body has white stripes, it is also called a 'Tiger Mosquito'. The larva of this mosquito thrives in clean water and it bites during the day.

Dengue mosquito spreads its virus in the human body by stinging, then when it bites another healthy person, his body also gets infected. Usually, it grows more at 16 to 30-degree temperatures, so the rainy season is suitable for its breeding.

The platelet count falls in dengue fever.

A healthy person has a platelets count between 1,50,000 and 2,50,000 per microliter of blood, but when fever comes after a tiger mosquito bite, this number usually exceeds 1 lakh. Decreases, due to which life risk increases.

Measures to avoid dengue

Do not allow water to accumulate in things like pots, coconut shells, tyres, and utensils kept for birds during the rainy season. Apart from this, keep changing the water of the cooler from time to time, or else put 2 spoons of kerosene oil in it. Even if the water tank is kept open, dengue mosquitoes start growing in it.
