What is acid reflux?

Why there is a burning sensation in the throat?

To digest food in our stomach, acids are released, which are also known as digestive juices, when the food starts moving toward the stomach, then a valve called the esophageal sphincter opens and the food reaches the stomach. When the amount of acid becomes high, it starts going back through the food pipe towards the throat, due to which there is a problem of heartburn.

Sleeping in this way causes problems.

Throat irritation is related to your sleeping posture, if you sleep more on your stomach or back, it increases the chances of acid reflux. That's why most health experts believe that you should sleep on your side only so that such problems can be avoided.
