Herbs that Control Diabetes: There are many herbs in Ayurveda that control diabetes. These herbs are easily available in the kitchen. But these things start controlling blood sugar very quickly. Many such researches are conducted all over the world in which the enchanting properties of these herbs are verified. India needs to be very cautious in the matter of diabetes because India is being called the capital of diabetes. According to WHO, about 422 million people in the world are suffering from diabetes. Of these, more than 8 crore people are in India. According to statistics, more than 13 crore people will be diabetic by 2045 in India.

Diabetes is a lifestyle-related disease. The real cause of diabetes is not yet known, but it is believed that when there is a decrease in physical activity and wrong eating habits, the production of insulin starts decreasing. Due to this, sugar does not get absorbed. This sugar enters the blood and starts floating in many parts of the body. Due to this, diseases related to vital organs like kidneys, heart, and eyes occur.

Herbs that control blood sugar
1. Garlic- Garlic contains an allicin compound which is very effective. Due to this compound, garlic proves to be a panacea for many diseases. According to the news of NDTV Doctor, a study published in the Journal of Phytomedicine states that garlic has anti-diabetic properties. Garlic controls blood sugar. Apart from controlling blood sugar, garlic also has the property of controlling blood pressure. Garlic is also anti-inflammatory which provides relief from joint pain.

2. Turmeric-Turmeric is very beneficial in Ayurveda. It contains many types of compounds which are beneficial in many diseases. According to the Complementary and Alternative Medicine Journal, turmeric is also anti-diabetic which balances the amount of sugar in the blood. The curcumin compound present in turmeric reduces the amount of glucose in the blood. Turmeric is also anti-inflammatory, due to which it reduces the problems related to swelling after diabetes. According to Ayurveda, drinking turmeric mixed with milk keeps the blood sugar level under control.

3. Clove- Clove is antiseptic and antibacterial as well as germicide. Along with this, clove is also anti-inflammatory and analgesic. According to a study, cloves activate the production of insulin. The compound present in cloves smoothes the lining of the intestine which indirectly helps in activating insulin. In this way, clove reduces blood sugar a lot.

4. Cinnamon - It is said in Ayurveda that drinking cinnamon water does not increase the blood sugar level. That means cinnamon is also anti-diabetic which has the ability to control sugar. Cinnamon contains many types of antioxidants which help in increasing the production of insulin. According to a report published in the International Journal of Molecular Science, cinnamon has the ability to increase insulin sensitivity. Drinking cinnamon tea or cinnamon water brings down blood sugar.
