5 Magical Leaves Reduces Blood Sugar: In the case of diabetes, the sugar level in the blood increases a lot. Sometimes blood sugar starts increasing rapidly after eating food. In fact, when the pancreas produces less or no hormone called insulin, the sugar level in the blood increases because insulin itself digests the sugar from food and converts it into energy. To control diabetes, diet and lifestyle have to be controlled. Eating sweets is strictly prohibited. But there are some Ayurvedic herbs whose consumption helps in controlling blood sugar. There are some magical leaves among these, which if consumed early in the morning, maintain the blood sugar level throughout the day. Let us know which are those leaves that are anti-diabetic.
1. Insulin Plant -The leaves of the Insulin Plant have anti-diabetic properties, hence it is called Insulin Plant. Although it does not increase insulin it definitely reduces blood sugar. The insulin plant is also known by names like Fairy Costus, Spiral Flag, Chamacostus Cuspidatus, Crape Ginger, Kemuk, Kumul, Keekand, Pakramula, and Pushkarmula. According to the report published in NCBI Journal, the study has found that insulin plant is used to control blood sugar.
2. Mango leaves- According to TOI news, mango leaves also have anti-diabetic properties. If you chew mango leaves in the morning, your blood sugar will not increase throughout the day. At the same time, mango leaves can also be prepared and consumed like tea. Boil it for 15 minutes, cool it, and drink it like tea on an empty stomach. Sugar will not increase throughout the day.
3. Neem leaves- There is a saying that Neem leaves may be bitter but they purify the blood. Neem leaves not only purify the blood but it also removes sugar from the blood. Elements like flavonoids, triterpenoids, anti-viral compounds, and glycosides are found in Neem leaves which work wonders in controlling blood sugar.
4. Jamun leaves- Jamun fruit has anti-diabetic properties, you must be aware of this but chewing jamun leaves will also control blood sugar. If you cannot chew the leaves then boil it in water, filter it, and drink it like tea. Drinking this tea throughout the day will help manage blood sugar.
