Hartalika Teej 2023: The festival of Hartalika Teej is celebrated on the Tritiya Tithi of Shukla Paksha of Bhadrapada month. This fast is being observed on 18th September this year. Mother Parvati and Lord Shiva are worshiped on the day of Hartalika Teej. On this day, married women observe fast and worship with the wish of long life and unbroken good fortune for their husbands. Unmarried girls also observe this fast to wish for a good groom. Like Karva Chauth, women observing fast on this day break their fast by offering Arghya to the moon after moonrise in the evening. On the day of Hartalika Teej, married women observe Nirjala fast and in the evening, do sixteen adornments and offer water in a Shiva temple. Also, offer red-colored chunari to Goddess Parvati. After this, chant 'Om Gauri Shankaraya Namah Mantra'. Tie 7, 11, or 21 rupees in the chunri according to your devotion. After completing the puja, keep the money tied in the chunari with you. It is believed that this brings happiness in married life.
Worship Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati on the day of Hartalika Teej fast. At the end, listen to the fast story, and after that offer kheer to Goddess Parvati. Feed this kheer to your husband also as Prasad. This strengthens the relationship between husband and wife. Also, married life becomes happy.
