Every year on the full moon day of Chaitra month, the festival of the birth of Hanuman ji is celebrated with pomp. This century is known as Hanuman Jayanti. This year Hanuman Jayanti is falling on the 6th of April, Thursday. While Hanuman ji is duly worshipped on the day of Hanuman Jayanti, the other hand, a religious opinion says that Hanuman ji is insulted by celebrating Hanuman Jayanti. What is the logic behind this, let us know from astrologer expert Dr Radhakant Vats.

Astrologer Radhakant Vats ji says that birth anniversary, birth anniversary and birthday sound similar but their meaning is quite different from each other. The special thing is that in today's time, very few people know the difference between them.

Explain this difference in simple words, then the birth anniversary is celebrated of those who came to this earth and then left their bodies and attained death. Whereas, the birthday is celebrated of those who were born on earth and are still alive. This is a festival normally celebrated in your and our homes, so we celebrate in the happiness of ourselves or our children.

Now it is the turn of the birth anniversary, so tell that the birth anniversary is celebrated of those who incarnated and returned to their abode after completing their incarnation, but both their coming to earth and leaving the earth should be a divine event. That is why the birthday of Shri Krishna is known as Janmashtami and the birthday of Rama is known as Ram Navami and not as Jayanti because both of them are incarnations of Lord Vishnu.

Similarly, Hanuman ji is also considered the 11th incarnation of Lord Shiva. Also, he is ajar and immortal. He is blessed to be Chiranjeevi. According to religious beliefs, Hanuman ji is still present on earth. Because of the element of God in him and living on the earth even today, his birth anniversary should be celebrated and not his birth anniversary.

So for this reason, celebrating Hanuman Jayanti is considered wrong in religious beliefs.
