Heart attack cases increase significantly in winter. A heart attack occurs when the arteries become blocked and the heart does not get enough blood. In fact, in winter, our habits, our lifestyle and the way we eat change a lot. Some of our wrong habits are responsible for heart attacks. Know about those habits.

These habits are responsible for heart attack

Smoking

People often smoke more in winter. This also increases the risk of heart attack. The chemicals present in cigarettes thicken the blood. Due to this, clots form inside the arteries. This affects blood flow. This increases blood pressure. Heart muscles become weak.

Liquor

Consuming excessive alcohol not only affects the liver but is also harmful to the heart. Drinking alcohol increases the level of fat in the blood. High cholesterol causes plaque accumulation in the arteries and causes heart attack.

Lack of physical activity

Physical activity often decreases during cold weather. Due to the amount of fried food we eat in this season, we do not exercise. Lack of movement causes fat to clog in the arteries. The arteries that carry blood to the heart get damaged. This can also cause a heart attack.

Unhealthy diet

Unhealthy diet is also a big reason for this. In this season, we often include processed, fried, sweet snacks in our daily diet. This increases the amount of bad cholesterol which causes all these problems.
