Guru Purnima 2023 Date: This year, the festival of Guru Purnima will be celebrated on July 3, Monday, in Mool Nakshatra and Brahma Yoga. On this day the Moon will transit in Sagittarius and along with this Vyasji will be worshipped, that is, the birth anniversary of Ved Vyasji will also be celebrated. Guru Purnima is celebrated every year on the full moon day of Shukla Paksha of Ashadh month. This full moon is also known as Ashadha Purnima, Vyas Purnima, and Ved Vyas Jayanti. On the day of Guru Purnima, disciples worship their gurus and seek their blessings and express their gratitude to the guru because the guru takes them out of the darkness of ignorance and leads them to the light of knowledge. In Sanatan Dharma, Guru is considered superior even to God. It is the Guru who tells about God and without him there is no attainment of Brahmagyan and salvation.
