Gulab Phirni is made using milk, sugar and gulkand. If you want to try something new in the name of Kheer then you can make Gulab Phirni. The flavor of the rose makes this dish very tasty.
Ingredients
2 liters full cream milk
1/2 cup rice soaked in water
1-1/2 cups condensed milk
4 tbsp rose leaves
2 tbsp gulkand
2 tbsp sugar
2 tbsp rose water or rooh afza
1/2 tsp cardamom powder
1/2 tsp fennel powder
12 chopped pistachios for garnishing
10 almonds chopped
10 cashews chopped
some dried rose leaves
Recipe
-First of all, wash the soaked rice. After this separate them from water. Now grind the rice coarsely.
- Add 1/4 cup water to the ground rice and keep it aside.
Now keep milk boiling in a vessel. After the milk starts boiling, reduce the flame and add ground rice to it.
- Now keep stirring the milk until it thickens. Also, ensure that the rice is cooked.
- After the rice is cooked, add other ingredients to it and let it cook for 5 minutes.
- After this, turn off the gas and keep the Phirni to cool down. Now add dry fruits and rose leaves to it and serve.
