Download Google Translate App
Before your trip, download the Google Translate app on your smartphone or tablet from the Google Play Store (for Android) or the App Store (for iOS). Know the language of the country you are visiting. Another important thing is to know what is the native language of the country you are traveling to.
Download language pack
Open the Google Translate app and go to Settings. Look for the "Offline Translation" option and select it. From there, you can choose the languages you want to use offline. Next to each language, tap the Download button to download the respective language pack.
How to use offline translation
After you download a language pack, you can use Google Translate without an Internet connection. Simply open the app and select the languages you want to translate. You can type text or use the camera feature to scan and translate written text.
