Alphabet Inc.-owned Google has joined hands with the Election Commission of India (ECI) to prevent the spread of misinformation during the upcoming general elections and report the correct results of the elections. Google India has given this information in one of its blogs.

Google has said that special preparations have been made for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in India. Google has said that we are working closely with the Election Commission so that people can get accurate information related to elections and voting in both English and Hindi. Google has said that we will also tell people how to identify the content generated by AI.

There are times when advertisers misuse AI, but we also want to ensure that we provide information to people with greater transparency. Our advertising policies already prohibit the use of media that is manipulated to mislead people, such as deepfakes or doctored content.

Google said it has already started labeling AI-generated content on YouTube. Google recently partnered with the Coalition for Content Provenance and Authenticity (C2PA).
