In the last few months, Meta has introduced many features for WhatsApp, ranging from privacy to user-friendly features. Recently WhatsApp has introduced a chat lock feature for the web version. Apart from this, WhatsApp is working on a privacy feature after which no one will be able to take a screenshot of your profile photo.

Third-party apps are going to be supported
According to a report, through WhatsApp, you will also be able to message on other messaging apps like Signal and Telegram. The new feature is currently being tested. Ever since WhatsApp was launched, it has not had the feature of third-party or cross-messaging.

WABetaInfo has said in its report that WhatsApp is releasing a new update which can be seen in version 2.24.6.2. After this update, support for third-party messaging will be available in WhatsApp.

The Digital Market Act (DMA) itself had asked for providing such a feature. Now it looks like WhatsApp is taking it seriously. It is being said that a separate chat screen will be available in WhatsApp for chatting through third-party apps, however, the profile of the user chatting through third-party apps will not be visible in WhatsApp.
