Bapu's 154th birth anniversary will be celebrated across the country on 2 October. This day is considered very special in India, because Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, the father of the Indian nation, was born.

Bapu was born on 2 October 1869 in Porbandar district of Gujarat state. In today's article, we are going to tell you about those places associated with Mahatma Gandhi in Delhi, where even today the memories associated with him are preserved.

Maharishi Valmiki Mandir (BapuAwas) -Maharishi Valmiki Mandir

There are very few people who know about this temple in Delhi. Here he has spent most of his time. You must visit this place once on this Gandhi Jayanti. In the room located on the left side of the Maharishi Valmiki temple, even today all the things related to Mahatma Gandhi have been preserved.

Here Gandhiji also gave education to the children living nearby. Therefore, in this room, you will also see photos of children along with Bapu. Here you will find many things like his seat, table and spinning wheel which Mahatma Gandhi used. This place is located on Mandir Marg in New Delhi. This place was earlier known as Reading Road.

Mahatma Gandhi Museums

You can also see Gandhiji's belongings from the front in the Gandhi Museum located at Rajghat. Here all the things related to them have been saved.

To go here you will have to take off your shoes and slippers. Special programs are organized here on Gandhi Jayanti. The museum remains open from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Gandhi Smriti Museum

Gandhi Smriti was earlier known as Birla House. If you want to know anything about Gandhiji, then this place is best for you. Its name was changed because Birla's residence itself had been converted into Gandhi Smriti. A show related to Gandhi ji is also shown here so that you will know about him in more detail. Here you can go from 10 am to 5 pm.

Apart from this, Raj Ghat, Kasturba Kutir is also such a place, where you will get to see many things related to Mahatma Gandhi. People also know Kasturba Kutir by Kingsway Camp, it is a small museum. Earlier, Gandhiji lived at this place with his wife Kasturba Gandhi and son Devdas.
