Our diet needs to be correct for clean, glowing and spotless skin. If the diet is not correct, its direct effect starts appearing on our faces. The skin starts losing its lustre and spots on the face become visible. Often people understand that to keep the skin perfect, only the skincare routine should be correct, whereas it is not so. Whatever we eat is directly related to the health of our skin. Apart from this, the effect of environment, stress and sleep is also clearly visible on the skin.

Some food items and drinks are very healthy for the skin, while it is advised to stay away from some things for healthy skin. Dietician Radhika Goyal has shared information about which foods should not be eaten for glowing skin through her Instagram account.

Fine flour

For glowing skin, flour should be included at least in your diet. It lacks nutrients and fibre. Eating this causes our blood sugar level to spike. Eating flour causes inflammation in the body which damages collagen and elastin. Collagen and elastin, both these proteins are very good for our skin. Pimples can also occur due to flour. Therefore it is better to avoid it.

High-fat dairy products

If you are a fan of cheese and dairy products, then you will not enjoy reading this. But high-fat dairy products can increase the amount of sebum, which leads to clogged pores. When the pores are closed, the dirt of the skin does not come out and due to this there can be problems related to the skin. Many hormones like insulin are also affected by eating it and the skin starts losing its glow.

Sugar

Do you know that excessive craving for sugar after eating also indicates nutritional deficiencies in your body? Sugar breaks down collagen and elastin. Due to this, your skin starts losing its colour in time. The skin starts to appear dry and lifeless.

What to do?

Just as it is advised to eat a diet rich in balance and nutrition to stay healthy, in the same way, if you want to keep the skin healthy, then also take full care of the diet. Things like tomato, cucumber and beetroot are considered good for the skin.
