Meta launched its new microblogging app Threads yesterday. This app is considered as Twitter killer. The app has signed up more than 50 million people across the world on the very first day itself.
The popularity of the app is now troubling Twitter. Twitter has reportedly threatened to sue Meta. Alex Heath of The Verge, citing internal data from Meta, said in a thread post that the app has crossed 48 million user registrations.
Another Threads user Joe Scannell (Threads: @joe_scannel) posted a screenshot of the thread's sign-up numbers, according to which the figure has now crossed 50 million. In the coming times, the sign-up number of Threads may increase further.
