How to do Fasting?

Choose which type of fastening is best for you, depending on the following factors-

  • Your mental strength and willpower
  • Strength of your stomach
  • Any defect in the body
  • Your eating habits

What are the types of fasting?

Dry Fasting – It involves abstaining from water and food. It is very good for Kapha-dominated people.

Complete fasting - no food or water

Skipping fasting- Eating one or two meals. Skipping breakfast or dinner or both.

Intermittent Fasting- 16 hours fasting 8 hours meal or it can be adjusted as per indicated by the expert.

Water fasting- drinking only water throughout the day.

Juice Fasting - Drink seasonal fruit juices throughout the day. (Do not add sugar, eating more sugar will end the meaning of the fast)

Fruit Fasting – Eat only fruits throughout the day.

Fasting of vegetables- Only vegetables throughout the day, this fast is for Vata-dominant people who cannot keep much fast.
