The more romantic the monsoon season is, the more it is prone to diseases. Now take the eye flu or pink eye that is spreading nowadays. The problem of conjunctivitis is increasing a lot these days. Office, school, college, metro everywhere someone is seen struggling with wearing black glasses.
The problem of conjunctivitis is being seen the most this year because this time there has been more waterlogging due to rain, due to which diseases are spreading. If an infected person is near you, the infection may spread and you get it too. It is caused by the spread of bacteria and not by looking into someone else's eye.
This infection can be allergic as well as bacterial or virus. Due to this, there is a lot of pain in the eyes and more problems are felt.
We spoke to Rishi Raj Bohra, Country Director, IndiaOrbis. He told us how to put eye drops in the eyes can prove to be right. According to Dr Bohra, along with the problem of allergies in the eyes, there are also hygiene issues which lead to conjunctivitis.
What to do if conjunctivitis has occurred?
First of all, take care of personal hygiene. You must stop it from spreading further. Keep washing your hands with soap and water so that this infection will not spread much.
The problem of pink eye is very painful, in which case you can do eye exercises. This will also provide relief from the dry crust that accumulates around the eyes. This can be done when the eyes do not open after waking up in the morning.
Always put the eye drops prescribed by the doctor
Never think of taking medicine or drops on your own. Whether it is bacterial or allergic, only the doctor will be able to tell about it properly. One must go to the doctor on seeing its symptoms.
Try not to rub your eyes. Yes, during this time there is itching and discomfort in the eyes, but still do not touch the eyes. This makes the problem worse.
Maintain the hygiene of towel, tissue, contact etc. Do not share personal items with anyone. Especially don't apply someone else's eye makeup.
The correct way to put eye drops during conjunctivitis?
According to Dr Bohra, people do not even understand how to put drops in the eyes during this time. It is very important to take care of it so that the infection does not increase further.
- Do not touch the tip of the bottle while pouring the eye drops
- The tip of the eye drop should always be out of reach of the eyes and hands. If bacteria get on the tip, the drop will spoil and spread the infection more quickly.
- Always tilt your head back as far as possible when instilling eye drops. Even if you need help to open your eyes, seek help.
- Never use too many eye drops. If the doctor's advice is two drops, then put the same amount in the eyes. Putting in more eye drops will not clear up your infection more quickly.
- Wash hands thoroughly before inserting eye drops.
