Now only a few days are left for Diwali. Almost everyone celebrates this festival of lights with great pomp and enthusiasm. For this day, people decorate their houses, do lighting, and light lamps, and then in the evening, perform aarti of Lord Ganesha and Maa Lakshmi and distribute Prasad, etc. At the same time, people also burn firecrackers on this day, but do you know that fraudsters also take advantage of Diwali to cheat people? Probably not, but it is true and one small mistake can cost you your entire life's earnings. Therefore, to ensure that you do not become a victim of fraud, take special care of some things this Diwali. You can learn about it in the next slides. So let's know...
Keep these things in mind on Diwali:-
Do not click on unknown links
Fraudsters can contact you through email, message, or social media and send you some unknown link. This link can be of anything. Like- renewing your debit card, any offer, etc. But you should not click on any unknown link that you are suspicious of or that looks strange. In such cases, it is very important to investigate first.
Be sure to verify the loan offer
On the occasion of Diwali, many banks offer pre-approved loans to their customers, which fraudsters also take advantage of. These fake people can send you a tempting loan offer and then cheat you by luring you into things. Therefore, when any offer comes, first get it verified by your bank.
Don't fall into the lottery trap
Fraudsters can send you an email luring you with a lottery by attaching some documents that will make you feel that you will get the lottery prize. But the reality is different because as soon as you click on the link given in it, your mobile can be hacked and you can be cheated. Apart from this, as soon as you believe in the prize of this fake lottery, these fraudsters cheat you by luring you with their sweet talks.
Do not share OTP
In today's time, OTP plays an important role in withdrawing money from the account. Therefore, never share the OTP received on your mobile with any unknown call, message, or anyone else, even by mistake. Fraudsters can call you on some other pretext and take OTP from you. But keep in mind that you do not have to share this.
