This year the festival of lights is starting from 10th November. Dhanteras is celebrated on the first day of the five-day festival, Narak Chaturdashi on the second day, and then Diwali on 12 November. After Diwali, the festival of Govardhan Puja and Bhai Dooj is celebrated. According to the Hindu religion, Diwali is a festival that removes darkness not only from the home but also from the mind. Cleanliness
Diwali is the perfect time to make children understand the importance of cleanliness. Take help of children while cleaning the house during Diwali. Tell them that cleanliness in and around the house is good for health and also gives you a good life. It also has religious importance. It is said that where there is cleanliness, there resides Goddess Lakshmi.

Donation
While cleaning the house on the occasion of Diwali, you throw out many old items and clothes from the house. For those things that are no longer useful to you or are old, you can give them to someone in need. Get old items handed over to children to a needy person. Teach them to help others and donate.

Family
Tell the story of Ramayana to children. Tell them how much love there was between Shri Ram, Bharat, Lakshman, and Shatrughan. All four brothers were ready to give up royal duties and luxuries for each other. There should be this kind of unity and love in the family. Teach the child to stay connected to the family and take care of siblings.
