Arhar Dal - 1 cup
Peanuts - 2 tbsp
Ginger - 1 teaspoon
Mustard seeds - 1 teaspoon
Cumin - 1/2 tsp

Cumin powder - 1/2 tsp
Coriander powder - 1/2 tsp
Garam masala - 1/2 tsp

Finely chopped tomato - 1
Lemon juice - 1 teaspoon
Finely chopped coriander - as per taste
Ginger-garlic paste - 1 tsp

Wheat flour - 1 cup
Turmeric - 1/2 tsp
Red chili powder - 1/2 tsp
Ajwain - 1/2 tsp
salt - as per taste

How to make Dal and Dhokli
Method of preparation of lentils: First of all, lentils are made for Dal Dhokli. To make dal, first of all wash the dal thoroughly 2-3 times. After this, take a pressure cooker, add 1 cup of lentils and 2 cups of water along with peanuts and 1 teaspoon of oil, and cook till 4 whistles. Now in a pan, fry one teaspoon of ghee, a pinch of asafoetida, 1 teaspoon of mustard seeds, cumin seeds, whole red chilies, and curry leaves. After this, add finely chopped onion to it.

As soon as its color turns golden brown, add tomato and ginger-garlic paste and fry it. Now add boiled lentils to it. Pour 1 more cup of water over it and mix it well. When the lentils are mixed, add turmeric, chili powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, and garam masala to it. In the end, stirring it, add jaggery, salt, and 1 teaspoon lemon and boil the dal again.

Method to make Dhokli: To make Dhokli, put 1 cup of wheat flour, turmeric, chili powder, celery, salt, and 2 teaspoons of oil in a vessel. After mixing all these, knead this dough well. Keep in mind that the dough should not be too tight. After this, take a ball from this dough and roll it into small balls in any shape. Now put the dhokli pieces in the boiling dal and mix them well. After adding this dough, cover and cook the dal for about 15 minutes. In the end, we will garnish it with green coriander. Now it can be served with roti or rice.
