Diabetes can be a cause of many types of risks to our health. Until a few decades ago, it was known to be a problem with aging, however, now even younger people are becoming victims of this chronic disease. An uncontrolled increase in blood sugar is considered problematic for the body in many ways. This increases the problem of many parts of the body like eyes, nerves, and heart-lungs. Diabetes can also increase your risk of infection manifold.

Health experts say diabetes is a serious condition in itself. On the other hand, if the diabetic patient is also a victim of obesity, then this condition can increase the complications even more. This problem of obesity with diabetes is known as 'diabetes'.

Diabetes: The problem of diabetes and obesity
Diabetes and obesity have a complex relationship. Obesity is not only one of the major risk factors for type-2 diabetes, but it can also increase the complications of diabetes manifold. The problem of insulin resistance has been seen more in people suffering from diabetes. Apart from this, if both your weight and sugar level are not controlled, then over time such patients may also have a higher risk of developing heart diseases and infectious diseases.

The risk of heart disease may increase
The researchers found that uncontrolled diabetes is a risk factor for heart disease. The increased level of blood sugar starts damaging your blood vessels. Over time, this damage can also lead to heart disease. People with diabetes are more likely to develop heart disease at a younger age than people without diabetes.

On the other hand, if you have a problem with obesity along with diabetes, then this risk increases manifold. The risk of heart attack has been seen more in such people.

Immunity can be weak
Hyperglycemia i.e. an increased condition of blood sugar is also very harmful to your immune system. This is the reason why people with diabetes are more vulnerable to many types of infections. On the other hand, if you are overweight along with diabetes, then this risk increases even more.

Physical activity is reduced due to the condition of obesity, it has a risk of side effects on both diabetes and the immunity system.

Control weight
Researchers from the American Diabetes Association report that maintaining a low body weight may help prevent or manage diabetes. Participating in physical activity can be helpful for both weight loss and keeping diabetes under control. Aiming for 150-300 minutes of moderate-intensity aerobic exercise each week can be beneficial in keeping you healthy and reducing the complications caused by diabetes.
