Motilal Oswal Financial Services Ltd Senior Analyst (Commodity Research) Manav Modi said that the zinc market and gold prices on the domestic front reached record levels due to safe investment demand just a few weeks before the US presidential election. Also, the reduction in interest rates by the European Central Bank also helped in this.

Future Gold Price: Gold futures prices rise

On Friday, the price of gold rose by Rs 389 to Rs 77,496 per 10 grams in futures trading as speculators bought fresh deals amid strong spot demand. The futures price of gold had reached an all-time high of Rs 77,667 per 10 grams during the day's trading. The price of the contract for supply in December at the Multi Commodity Exchange rose by Rs 389 or 0.5 percent to Rs 77,496 per 10 grams. 14,973 lots were traded in it.
