Google Pay, a widely-used online payment platform for digital transactions, now allows users to view their transaction history. While the app doesn't provide a direct option to delete transaction history, there's an alternative method to achieve this. Here's a step-by-step guide:
Where to Find Transaction History:
- Open the Google app on your device and scroll down.
- Look for the option 'Show transaction history' at the bottom of the home page.
- Tap the > sign to open your transaction history.
- View details of all sent and received transactions.
How to Delete Transaction History:
- Open Google Chrome on your phone.
- Go to www.google.com and locate your Google Account.
- Log in with your Google credentials.
- Click on the three dots in the top left corner.
- Select 'Data and Privacy' and navigate to 'History Settings.'
- Click on 'Web and App Activity' and go to 'Manage All Web and App Activity.'
- Click on the three dots visible on the search bar.
- Select 'Other Google Activity' and navigate to 'Google Pay Experience.'
- Tap 'Manage Activity' in Google Pay Experience.
- Click on the drop-down arrow next to 'Delete,' and select the transaction history you want to delete.
- Choose the time range (e.g., Last Day) and confirm the deletion. The deleted status should reflect within 12 hours."
Note: It's important to exercise caution when deleting transaction history, as it cannot be recovered once deleted.
