When will the banks remain closed in December?

1, 3, 8, 10 and 11 December

Due to World AIDS Day on 1 December, banks across the country will remain closed. Whereas, on 3 December, banks will remain closed in Panaji due to Saint Francis Xavier's festival. 8 December is the first Saturday of the month, due to which all the banks in the country will remain closed, and on 10 December, due to Human Rights Day, banks across the country will remain closed. On 11 December, banks will also remain closed due to UNICEF's birthday. 14, 15, 18, and 19 December. 14 December is the second Saturday of the month, hence all the banks in the country will remain closed. 15 December is Sunday, due to which all the banks in the country will remain closed. Whereas, on 18 December, due to Guru Ghasidas Jayanti, banks in Chandigarh will remain closed. On the other hand, banks will remain closed in Panaji on 19 December due to Goa Liberation Day.

22, 24, 25 and 26 December

22 December will be a Sunday holiday, while 24 December is Guru Teg Bahadur's Martyrdom Day, due to which all banks in Meghalaya, Mizoram, Punjab, and Chandigarh will remain closed.

25 December will be a Christmas holiday for all banks, and 26 December is Boxing Day and Kwanzaa, due to which banks will also remain closed.

28 to 31 December

28 December is the fourth Saturday of the month and 29 December is Sunday, due to which banks across the country will remain closed.

30 December will be closed due to Tamu Losar, while banks in Mizoram will remain closed on 31 December on New Year's Eve.
