There are many advantages of online facilities. We do our every small and big work easily. However, digitalization also has some disadvantages. The number of crimes committed online has increased enormously over time.
Often we also get to hear about news related to online scams in the news. Keeping this in view, we have brought some such laws for you today, with the help of which you can raise your voice against scams. We have spoken to Supreme Court lawyer Vishal Mishra about this subject.
1. IT Act
Very few people know but India has a separate law for cybercrime. Under the Cyber Crime Information Technology Act 2000, you can raise your voice against any kind of scam. Under the Indian Penal Code 1860, you can raise your voice against issues related to cyber crimes.
2. Cyber Cell or Police Station
If there is any crime against you, you can go to the cyber cell to raise your voice against it. By going to the cyber cell, you can present all your problems and whatever evidence you have related to them.
Tell them that you don't need to complain about cybercrime in the cyber cell itself. Reports of these cases can also be filed by going to the police station.
3. Go to the Magistrate
Apart from these two methods, you can also present your case by going to the Magistrate under CrPC 156(3). After complaining to the magistrate, a complete investigation of the case is done.
4. Advised to be careful
Supreme Court lawyer Vishal Mishra said that the best way to avoid falling prey to scams is to take precautions beforehand. Don't do any kind of negligence. With this, you will never come under the trap of cyber criminals.
