The government has created a portal to complain about cyber crime or fraud, from where you can complain about any kind of cybercrime.
How to complain on the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal?
If any kind of fraud happens to you, you can complain by calling 1930. Apart from this, you can make a written complaint by visiting https://cybercrime.gov.in/.
After visiting this site, click on the button to lodge a complaint visible on the homepage. Read and accept the terms and conditions on the next page.
Click on the 'Report another cyber crime' button.
Select the 'Citizen Login' option and provide information like name, email, and phone number.
Enter the OTP sent on your registered phone number, fill in the captcha, and click on the submit button.
On the next page, provide information about the cybercrime you want to report.
This form is divided into four parts – General Information, Victim Information, Cyber Crime Information, and Preview.
Give the necessary information asked in each part.
After viewing the information properly, click on the 'Submit' button.
Now on a new page, upload complete details of the crime like the screenshot, mobile number, or other files, and click on 'Save and Next'.
Verify the information and click on the 'Submit' button.
You will receive a confirmation message that your complaint has been registered.
