Here's a recipe for making delicious Curd Gujiya at home:

Ingredients:

1 cup all-purpose flour (maida)

1 cup thick curd (yogurt)

1/4 cup powdered sugar

1/4 cup grated khoya (mawa)

2 tablespoons chopped nuts (cashews, almonds, pistachios)

1/2 teaspoon cardamom powder

Ghee or oil for frying

Silver foil (optional)

Honey or sugar syrup for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour and curd. Mix well to form a soft dough. Cover it with a damp cloth and let it rest for 30 minutes.

Meanwhile, in a separate bowl, mix the powdered sugar, grated khoya, chopped nuts, and cardamom powder. This will be the filling for the gujiyas.

After 30 minutes, divide the dough into small portions and roll each portion into a small circle (approximately 4-5 inches in diameter).

Place a spoonful of the filling in the center of each circle. Fold the circle in half to form a semi-circle and seal the edges by pressing them together firmly. You can also use a fork to create a decorative pattern along the edges.

Heat ghee or oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat. Once the ghee is hot, carefully add a few gujiyas at a time and fry them until they turn golden brown and crispy. Make sure to fry them on medium heat to ensure they are cooked through.

Remove the fried gujiyas from the pan and place them on a paper towel to drain any excess oil.

Optional: Once the gujiyas have cooled slightly, you can garnish them with silver foil for a decorative touch.

Serve the curd gujiyas warm or at room temperature. You can also drizzle honey or sugar syrup over them for added sweetness.
