In many countries of the world including India, a surge in cases of coronavirus infection is being seen since last month. According to the data released by the Central Government on Monday, infection has been confirmed in 636 people in the country in the last 24 hours. With this, the caseload of Corona in the country has gradually increased to 4,394. With three more deaths in 24 hours, the total number of deaths so far has reached 5,33,364. Earlier on Sunday, 841 new cases of Corona were registered in the country, which was the highest in seven months.

Increase in infection is being recorded

If we look at the situation of Corona in the state, it is known that there has been a decline of 24% in the cases of infection in Kerala. In contrast, cases are increasing in Karnataka and Maharashtra. In Karnataka, infection cases have tripled from 309 to 922.

Health experts say that there is a surge in the cases of infection in the country, but the matter of relief is that the recovery rate (98.81 percent) is still quite good. This means that people are getting infected with Corona but are also recovering easily. Secondly, this new variant of Corona JN.1 is not a serious pathogen, in most people only mild symptoms are seen in case of infection. The risk of serious disease can occur only in those with weak immunity or comorbidities.

Health experts say, given the nature of this new variant, anyone can be at risk of infection, even if they have taken a booster dose of the vaccine. In such a situation, all people need to continue taking precautions to prevent infection. If you do become infected, take precautions even if you have mild symptoms.
