Online classes helped in reducing the loss in studies. But its effect was that the reading habit of children was affected. Along with this, due to a lack of direct contact with teachers, the subjects of science and mathematics started becoming difficult for the children.

Study claims on 7 lakh children
Compared with 2018, the Paris-based organization found that the habit of reading decreased by 10 points and the habit of studying mathematics decreased by 15 points. Students who used to learn a lot within a year. Now they are taking more time. Children are not able to solve mathematics questions quickly. To prepare this report, a PISA test was conducted. In which about 7 lakh children from 81 countries were claimed to be involved. In this test, it was found that the students who were in contact with the teachers performed better in the exam. However, students who are still studying through the online system are facing more difficulties.

More impact on western countries
OECD has made special mention of Germany, Iceland, Netherlands, and Poland in its report. It was told about the children here that these children could not perform well in mathematics and science. It has also been emphasized in the report that the online system can be considered an alternative to the offline one. But due to the online system, children are not able to present their problems properly to the teacher and teachers are also not able to explain their views to the children properly.
