For the last few months, Corona cases have been quite controlled globally, however, in recent reports, increasing Corona cases in Singapore have raised concerns. The Health Ministry alerted everyone this week that the number of COVID-19 infections and hospitalizations is increasing, putting pressure on Singapore's hospitals. All people need to be cautious again about protection from this infectious disease.
However, the Health Ministry has also assured the people that the number of infected people is increasing but not as much as during the pandemic. It is not very clear which variant is responsible for the increasing infection here in recent times, or whether any new variant of Corona has arrived here.
Given the rising risks of coronavirus in Singapore, doctors have appealed to people to get vaccinated and wear masks again to reduce the general increase in COVID-19, influenza, and respiratory infections at the end of the year as in the past few years. Respiratory infections have seen a 30 percent increase, according to a report by The Straits Times on Tuesday. The actual number of people infected with influenza is relatively small, with the majority suffering from the common cold.
