Rakshabandhan Sweet Anarsa Recipe: Festivals seem incomplete without sweets. The festival of Hariyali Teej and Raksha Bandhan is the most special in the month of Sawan. The specialty of sweets increases on these occasions. Now the festival of Rakshabandhan is going to come in just a few days. In such a situation, you must be eating the sweets available in the market. But one famous sweet of Bihar which is sold at shops at this festival is Anarsa. Anarsa is made from rice. It is made with a mixture of sugar or jaggery. They look very crispy and crunchy to eat.
It is made like an anarsa pill or khaja. You can enjoy this sweet dish by making it at home. People eat it with great enthusiasm on Raksha Bandhan. Today we will know about its recipe.
Ingredients for making Anarsa -
Small grain rice - 2 cups
Powdered sugar or jaggery -
2 Cups Curd
2 tbsp Desi ghee
2 tbsp White sesame seeds
Method of making rice anarse -
1. To make rice anarse, first of all, you have to clean the rice thoroughly and wash it. Now after washing the rice, keep it soaked in water for 3 days. With this, keep changing the rice water every day.
2. After this, on the third day, wash the rice again with water and spread it on a clean cloth. Now let it dry in the sun for some time. When the rice becomes dry, grind it coarsely in a grinder.
3. Now take powdered sugar, and powdered rice in a vessel and knead a hard dough by adding milk to it. After kneading the dough, keep it for 12 hours or overnight. Due to this, the yeast of the flour will rise and the dough will puff up and set.
4. Now on the second day, make a ball of this flour and roll it in small sizes. Or make pills. Then spread or stick white sesame on top of it.
5. Now put them in ghee and fry them on low flame. Rice is ready. Eat them when they are hot or slightly cold.
