Ingredients to make Beetroot Halwa
- 4 beetroot (grated)
- Sugar as per taste
- Milk 1 liter
- Cardamom powder 1 tsp
- Dry fruits 1 bowl
- Ghee 4 tbsp
- Coconut flakes 1 big bowl
Make halwa like this
- First of all, put a pan on low flame on the gas and add one spoon of ghee in it and fry the coconut shavings and then take it out in another vessel.
Now put the pan back on the gas and add the remaining ghee in it and fry the grated beetroot.
Now cover the milk, cardamom powder and roasted coconut shavings in the pan and mix them.
Although beetroot water is sweet, if you like it sweeter then you can add sugar.
Now let the milk and beetroot cook on medium flame.
- You can also add milk little by little.
When the halwa is ready, take it out in a bowl, decorate it with dry fruits and serve.
Keep these things in mind
- If there is any diabetic patient in your house then do not use sugar at all. The natural sweetness of beetroot is enough.
- If you want, you can also use honey instead of sugar.
- Keep in mind that whether it is carrot or beetroot, its quantity reduces after cooking, hence use beetroot only keeping the family members in mind.
