Ingredients for making Thekua
- ¼ cup ghee
- 1 cup wheat flour
- ½ teaspoon fennel
- ½ teaspoon cardamom powder
- ½ cup jaggery syrup
- ½ cup grated coconut

- A bowl of dry fruits

Recipe for making Thekua
- First of all break the jaggery and dissolve it well in half a cup of water.
- Put flour in a vessel and add cardamom powder and dry fruits and mix it.
- Now add ghee to the flour so that the dough gets kneaded well.
- When thekua is made, it should be very soft and crispy. If the dough is not kneaded properly, the thekua will not become soft.
- Now mix jaggery syrup in the kneaded dough.
- Do not make the jaggery syrup too thin nor too thick.
- Knead a hard dough and then keep it covered for 10 to 15 minutes.

- When the dough becomes soft, make equal sized balls of that dough.

- Then make it with the help of a mould. If you do not have a mould, you can make it with any designed utensil or fork.

- Now heat the oil in a pan.

- Then press the dough on the mould and make it like a mathri.

- Fry it well on medium flame until it becomes golden brown.

- Fry all the thekua in the same way.

- After it cools down, you can enjoy the thekua.
