Chaturmas 2023 Starting Date: Chaturmas Vrat is observed for four months and it starts on the next day of Devshayani Ekadashi in the month of Ashadha and ends on Devothan Ekadashi in the month of Kartik. Chaturmas 2023 dates are from 30th June and end on 23rd November. It is of great importance to many Hindu communities. The months are devoted to prayers, rituals, and worship, and hence marriages, housewarmings, and other similar functions are not observed. Chaturmas begins on Ekadashi day in Shukla Paksha in the month of Ashadha and ends on Ekadashi in Shukla Paksha in the month of Kartik.
When will Chaturmas start?
It is prohibited to do auspicious work on Chaturmas. This time, due to more months in the month of Sawan, Sawan will be of 59 days. In this way, Sawan Mondays will also be 8 instead of 4. Due to the 5 months long Chaturmas, people will have to wait for 5 months even for doing auspicious work.
This work will not happen
It is forbidden to do auspicious work on Chaturmas. There will be no auspicious works such as marriage, mundane-jane, house-building, house-warming, buying a new vehicle, buying a new property, starting a new business, or work.
What to do during chairman
During Chaturmas, other auspicious and auspicious works including marriage, housewarming, Mundan, Janeu, Bhoomi Pujan, and Tilokotsav are not done. In such a situation, this thing should be kept in mind.

What not to do during Chaturmas
According to religious beliefs, Tamasik food should not be consumed during Chaturmas. Consuming these things during this time gives inauspicious results.
Worship of Lord Vishnu on Chaturmas is very fruitful. It is believed that by worshiping Sri Hari on Chaturmas, one gets the blessings of Mother Lakshmi.
One should not lie in Chaturmas. During this, one should not fight or quarrel with anyone.
It is believed that doing this during this time does not get the blessings of Lord Vishnu.
Food items like oil, brinjal, greens, honey, radish, parwal, jaggery, etc. should not be consumed during Chaturmas.
