There is good news for those girl students who have not applied for CBSE Single Girl Child Scholarship. The Central Board of Secondary Education has extended the application date for scholarship for girl students studying in class 11 or 12 during the year 2023-24 in schools across the country to October 31, 2023. Earlier the last date of this application was October 18, 2023. The board announced in the public notice issued on Friday, October 20, 2023 that now girl students can apply for this scholarship till October 31, 2023.
Let us tell you that the application process for this scholarship had started in September itself and earlier its last date was October 18, 2023. Under the Single Girl Child Scholarship started by CBSE, Rs 500 every month will be given to girl students having prescribed qualifications. CBSE Scholarship 2023: What is the eligibility for Single Girl Child Scholarship?
Only those girl students who have passed class 10th examination with 60 percent marks and are currently studying in class 11 can apply for the Single Girl Child Scholarship started by CBSE. Not only this, the monthly tuition fee of the student should not exceed Rs 1500 per month. Similarly, only those girl students of class 12 who were given this scholarship in class 11 can apply for this Single Girl Child Scholarship. For this process, girl students studying in class 12 will have to submit renewal application.
