First mistake
The biggest mistake people make is clicking on unknown and tempting links. Fraudsters send unknown links to people luring them to win a huge prize money and people also click on it and enter their UPI PIN. Never make such a mistake, otherwise you will certainly be cheated.
Second mistake
Banks repeatedly tell customers that the UPI PIN is entered only when you send money to someone. It is never necessary to receive money from anyone. Despite this, people do this, but you should avoid doing this. Otherwise, you may get cheated.
Third mistake
If there is any problem with your UPI app, or UPI ID and you want to talk to customer care, then contact through the app itself. Many people call by searching for customer care numbers on Google. Do not do this, because fraudsters create fake websites here and update wrong numbers. In such a situation, when you call these numbers, you get fraud. Therefore avoid doing this.
Fourth mistake
Through UPI, you can send money to anyone through a mobile number only, but keep in mind that whenever you send money to someone, apart from the mobile number, definitely verify the name and UPI ID. With this, money will not be transferred to any wrong account.
