Ingredients for making gourd soup

  • one small onion finely chopped
  • a piece of ginger finely chopped
  • 2 to 4 garlic - chopped
  • 2 cups bottle gourd-chopped
  • Coriander – finely chopped
  • Mint -10 to 12
  • 2 cups water
  • Cumin – half teaspoon
  • Asafoetida – a pinch
  • Black pepper – a pinch
  • Black salt- as per taste
  • Ghee- 1 spoon for tadka

How to make gourd soup

  • First of all, put the cooker on gas and let it heat up.
  • Now add one spoon of olive oil to it
  • Let the oil heat a little.
  • Now add finely chopped onion, ginger, garlic and fry.
  • Now add pumpkin, coriander, mint and 2 cups of water and pack it.
  • Now cook in the cooker till three whistles.
  • Now put the pumpkin in a blender and make a smooth paste.
  • Add seasoning of cumin and asafoetida.
  • Finally, add black pepper and black salt to the soup.
  • Add coriander leaves and serve hot.
