Necessary ingredients
- 400 grams of condensed milk
- 4-5 cups full cream milk
- 5 small cardamoms
- 1/2 bowl finely chopped pistachios
- 1/2 bowl finely chopped almonds
- 1/4 tsp saffron
- Pinch of nutmeg powder
- thick-bottomed pan
- 1 tablespoon pistachio-almond shavings
Recipe
- Add milk and condensed milk to the pan and mix well.
- To increase the sweetness of Basundi, you can add more or less condensed milk.
- Keep stirring the milk every now and then so that it does not stick to the pan.
- Cook the milk while stirring with a ladle for 20 to 25 minutes until it thickens.
- When half the milk remains, add cardamom powder, nutmeg powder, finely chopped pistachios, almonds, and saffron cook for 5 minutes, and turn off the flame.
- Remove from flame and let it cool.
Garnish with pistachios and almonds and eat it lukewarm or keep it in the fridge to cool.
