Ayurvedic decoction of Giloy
- Giloy or Guduchi is full of many properties. According to experts, drinking it mixed with ginger, basil and turmeric further enhances its properties.
- Giloy cures fever, dengue, chikungunya, viral fever, cough and cold.
- Anti-inflammatory, anti-biotic and anti-viral properties are found in it.
- At the same time, anti-oxidant, anti-bacterial, anti-viral and anti-flu properties are also found in basil. This provides relief from colds and coughs.
- Turmeric is effective in relieving colds along with sore throats. This also boosts immunity.
- The curcumin found in it removes infections.
- Ginger clears the mucus accumulated in the chest. This also relieves cough.
- This decoction detoxifies the liver, boosts metabolism and protects against infections.
Steps to make a decoction of Giloy, Tulsi, Ginger and Turmeric?
- Soak the leaves and stem of Giloy overnight.
- Crush it then boil.
- Mix it in 1 glass of water.
- Add 4-5 basil leaves, half-inch ginger and about a quarter teaspoon of turmeric in water.
- You can also add a piece of whole turmeric.
- You can also add 2-3 black peppers to it.
- Boil it till it reduces to half.
- Now filter it.
- You can drink this decoction twice a day.
Note- Everyone can eat Giloy. All other things used in this decoction are also completely natural. It does not have any special side effects, but still, if you are pregnant or have any health problems, then you should consult a doctor once.
