Almost every person in India has an Aadhaar card. It is seen at the top of the list of necessary documents. Whether you have to get any bank-related work done or any government work or take subsidy under any scheme etc. The first document you need for other works like these is your Aadhaar card, but perhaps you may not know that now there are two works that you cannot get done through it. Aadhaar is required for these works:-

To get a SIM card

To open an account in a bank

For e-KYC

To get subsidy

For government work and non-government work etc.

What is the new rule?

Actually, till now you can use Aadhar Card Enrollment ID apart from Aadhar Card for many works. This is the same ID that is given to you after applying for an Aadhar Card, with which you download your Aadhar Card etc. But now there are two works which you cannot do with this enrollment ID.

This is the first work

According to the rules, till now you could get a PAN card made with an Aadhar Card Enrollment ID. But now according to the new rule, you cannot use the enrollment ID to get a PAN card made. In such a situation, from now on, you will not be able to apply for a PAN card with the help of an Aadhar Card Enrollment ID.

The second work is

From now on, you cannot use the enrollment ID to fill ITR. Whereas, till now Aadhar Card Enrollment ID could be used to fill ITR. But now this rule has been changed.
